George Li travels to Norway this month for a performance of Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra on 17 August 2017. The concert, which marks Li’s debut with the orchestra, takes place in the city’s Palace Square under the baton of Wayne Marshall.
Last October Li performed Gershwin Variations on “I Got Rhythm” to great acclaim at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra’s opening season concert at Walt Disney Hall under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.
Elsewhere, Li ends the month with a second debut, this time with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in three concerts on 31 August and 1 and 2 September at Sydney Opera House. He also gives recitals at the Duszniki Festival in Poland on 5 August and at Seoul Arts Center on 23 August with a programme of pieces by Chopin, Beethoven and Liszt.
