George Li and Daniil Trifonov perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto Nos 1 and 3 with Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Valery Gergiev at the Gergiev Festival across two concerts on 10 September 2016. The concerts see Prokofiev’s five Piano Concertos performed in one day by a number of soloists.

Leonidas Kavakos, Daniil Trifonov, James Ehnes & George Li all perform at Montreux’s Septembre Musical in September.

Both Kavakos and Trifonov join the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Charles Dutoit. Kavakos plays the Brahms Violin Concerto on 27 August, and Trifonov is soloist for Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2 the following evening, 28 August.

Listen to George Li’s Edinburgh International Festival debut

George Li made his debut at the Edinburgh International Festival debut on 10 August with a solo recital of Haydn, Chopin, Rachmaninov and Liszt at the Queen’s Hall. The performance was broadcast on BBC Radio 3 live – you can listen again online on the BBC website. The broadcast will be available until 10 September.

George Li joins Joshua Weilerstein, making his Verbier Festival debut, and the Verbier Festival Orchestra at the Salle des Combins at 7pm on 6 August 2016.

The concerto is part of a French programme that also includes Bizet Symphony in C major and Saint-Saëns Violin Concerto No.3 with soloist Joshua Bell.

The concert will be streamed live on Medici.tv.
